Nothing to fault about the van or the pick-up / drop-off. The van was spacious and also small enough for the minor roads up the west coast.
It was my brothers 50th birthday. Great places? . . . t he mountain pass to Applecross and Sandwood bay in Sutherland where we managed to get the right wind for the kitesurfing.
To anyone thinking of campervanning in Scotland we would just suggest. . . Get up and go. Don't worry about where you end up at the end of each day. photos of our adventure here: |

Por ser la primera vez que viajamos en caravana por escocia ha sido fantastico. Escocia goza de unos paisajes impresionantes y dispone de muchas facilidades para viajar con autocaravana. Marta y Lluis. |

New, clean, well-serviced and well-equipped campervan. Friendly and helpful employee! The best thing was yourselves, by helping us plan our route and giving us great suggestions. (And of course the Go-Pod itself, we love that little bus.) |

Everything was made very simple from first enquiry to handing the campervan back. The campervan itself made the trip special, the freedom it gave- pull on the handbrake and you're set for the night, to the ease of driving. Girly on her own touring Scotland - no problem! |

The people at Kira couldn't be nicer. They know their vans and they know Scotland. Something special was getting close to wildlife that probably wouldn't have been visible in the height of summer. To anyone thinking of campervanning in Scotland we would just suggest trying out of season in March or Oct/Nov. The roads are quiet, there plenty of places to wild camp and the wildlife and scenery are at their very best. |

Eating breakfast overlooking the mountains was really special. Could be useful to have a list of open 'out of season' campsites with customer feedback. |

We had a nice holiday in a nice and clean van and a friendly and good service offered by Kira. The best bit was the nice landscape - although we had plenty of rain and chilly temperatures |

While BA/Flybe were trying to wreck our holiday/daughter's wedding, Michelle's lovely emails kept us sane. The vans are easy to drive even for a 'terrified blonde'. We really enjoyed our daughter's Druid wedding in Pollock Park, a new vista at every turn in the road, no need for a campsite, & wildlife everywhere you stop. I could go on for ages.... Go for Kira Rentals combi it's fantastic, small enough to go anywhere yet big enough inside for a 6'2'' ex-rugby player, I'd recommend a bucket with a lid then you never get caught short! |

Everything was easily organised, real people to speak to with an interest in the client. Skye was extraordinary and needed the week as a minimum. |

The van was easy to drive and all the communications and instructions were very clear. The contact we had with the staff was helpful and pleasant and we received compensation for the fact that the gas hot water and heating were not functioning properly. Even in the middle of summer umbrellas are a good idea rather than raincoats. |

Kira campervans are the ideal size. Well appointed inside, but small enough to go along narrow, steep or winding roads. The ideal way to get away from the crowds and enjoy the wonderful scenery and wildlife of Scotland. Highly recommended.. |

Great van, loved the freedom and even managed some great weather-slept like a log!. The best thing about our trip was . . . We celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary on Mull campsite and it was the best holiday we’ve ever had-not even a midge in sight!. One of our best memories is waking up at 6am one morning and deciding to move on from Arisaig and arrived at lunchtime to sunbathe on Iona! Loved Durness campsite and Fidden Farm on Mull. |

The best thing about our trip was . . . Great service, helpful (Much information provided before and during the trip) and friendly staff. Well equipped and clean campervan, the perfect vehicle for the Highlands, great landscape Special thanks to Michelle, who started to work earlier on the day of return and called us a taxi so that we arrived at the station in time!!! |

In fact we would like to give a 5, but we missed a step ( to "climb" in the slide-door) and blocks ( to put under the wheels).. In any case just do it with Kira, and than at least for two months, instead of our two weeks!.. Some of the best bits were . The red deer at Lochranza campsite, Arran ( and the Scottish Midge! ). |

Really easy to drive; clean, efficient and modern set-up inside; helpful, friendly and laid back staff.. The best thing about our trip was that our week up north completely surpassed expectations. An amazing week of sunny weather in north west Scotland with stunning scenery and the freedom to go wherever we wanted! |

The campervan was just perfect for travelling around in scotland - not too big and still enough space to hang around during the rainy season. And of course, the service itself (booking etc.) was outstanding as well :-))..The 19 rainy days out of 22 where very special - so it was nice to have a warm, dry and cozy "home". |

The van was great, easy to pick up and kitted out with everything you could possibly need. . . Go for it - Complete luxury. We'll be doing it again. The best thing was that the customer service from everyone I dealt with at Kira was first class. |

Ardnamurchan is great if you like to get away from it all - very remote and quiet. The Western-most tip is actually a volcano crater! |

Almost a 5 but the interior of the van did cause a 4. each day making and breaking down the bed was the only not so nice thing to do. I would recommend the north of scotland with the narrow roads and the quiet nature was great to experience. most people were very nice. |
